The Carlmont Instrumental Music program relies on parent support to maintain and grow our outstanding music program. We are asking *each family* to volunteer to support our music program! We have many opportunities with varying degrees of time commitment. As volunteer opportunities arise and are developed for the 2025-2026 school year, they will be posted here.
Some positions require volunteer clearance. Review the district volunteer information and apply for volunteer clearance early in the school year.
Current open requests:
- Box Office Coordinator: Manage smooth Box Office operations, oversee ticket system, sales and box office volunteers for our concerts (Winter, Chamber, and Spring). This position only requires campus presence during performances.
- Concert Creative Director: Develop creative concepts and produce printed concert programs and promotional materials including flyers and social media images. Requires a passion for graphic design and knowledge of Canva or similar design tools, along with printing production. Works in collaboration with the VP of Communications. Time commitment: 15-20 hours in the spring and fall. While some creative work can be spread out, there is a time-intensive period immediately before the print deadlines. No campus presence is required.
- Donation Lead: Track and maintain in written form records of incoming donations to the Carlmont Instrumental Music program, deposit all money into the CIM account, maintain a donors’ list, and prepare and send donation acknowledgment letters. May also help the Treasurer to prepare an operating budget for the program, inform teachers and the CMB board of available funds, as well as file any required reports and an annual tax return.
- Merchandise Table Co-chair: Process Carlmont merchandise sales (t-shirts, hoodies, etc.) during performances and coordinate with the Merchandise Lead to prepare inventory for distribution. This position requires minimal trips to campus. Check out our student store to get an idea of what we sell!
- Volunteer Signup Manager: Create and manage volunteer signups for concerts and other events using Signup Genius (or a similar tool). Time commitment: approximately 1 hour in fall and spring, with no campus presence required.
- We will also have opportunities at all of the concert events.
