The Instrumental Music Program’s success relies on the generosity of hundreds of volunteers and donations to the Carlmont Music Boosters (CMB). CMB funds approximately $50,000 in annual instrumental repairs and purchases, sheet music, music enrichment events, as well as clinician time to help supplement music instruction for the students.
Two additional organizations support the Instrumental Music Program: the Carlmont Academic Foundation (CAF) and the Carlmont Arts Council (CAC). Traditionally, the school district has funded one instrumental music teacher position. As the program has grown, the CAF has funded additional sections, taught by a second instructor, so that no music student is turned away. Today, CAF pays the cost of 4 additional sections. The Carlmont Arts Council supports the operations of the exceptional Carlmont Performing Arts Theater.
